Introductory Physics

These are lecture notes for the standard two-semester Physics courses I have taught. I have stuffed most of everything I have ever taught (and stuff I haven't taught) in those courses into these notes. Hopefully, they will be useful. I've also included some power point slides I wrote, and a bunch of worked out problems, scavenged from tests, and homework assignments, etc. And I threw in a couple javascript animations I wrote that are relevant to the Doppler effect, and various wave interference phenomena. You can access those here as well. Doppler Effect, Wave Superposition, Transmission and Reflection, Thin Films, and Standing Waves . I also hooked Claude up to these introductory lecture notes, so that one can ask questions and get answers based on the notes. This can be useful from a pedagogical perspective, since everyone has their own slightly idiosyncratic way of teaching a subject. And it can be confusing to learn a subject in class one way, and get AI help a different way. You can access that here. It doesn't do pictures yet! Launch Physics Tutor
